报告题目: Challenges in Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering Research

报告摘要:
Tissue engineering has been rapidly developed in recent years as a promising approach in treating diseases and injuries by combining cells, biomaterial scaffolds, and biologically active molecules. Many engineered tissues and organs such as skin and cartilage have already been used for clinical applications. This lecture will highlight the latest progress, future trends and challenges of porous scaffolds and biomimetic biomaterials, and introduce a few typical scaffolds such as funnel-like porous scaffolds, hybrid scaffolds of biodegradable synthetic polymers and naturally derived polymers, and autologous scaffolds.
